How we make our guides useful.
Clear explanations, honest limits, and corrections when we get something wrong.
Research before writing
We begin with a specific reader question, examine relevant information, and use concrete examples where they clarify the answer. When information may change, such as marketplace fees, we encourage readers to check the current primary source.
AI-assisted drafting
AI tools may help us brainstorm, organize or edit our writing. We review the resulting content for clarity, logical consistency, and errors before publishing. AI-generated instructions are not a substitute for hands-on testing.
Hands-on claims
We distinguish between desk-researched advice and activities we have actually performed. We will not describe a crochet pattern as tested unless it has been made and checked by a capable person.
Calculators and assumptions
Our tools show simplified, documented calculations and their limitations. They are decision aids, not predictions of customer demand, financial advice or tax advice.
Corrections
If you find a mistake, please contact us with the page link and a description. We aim to correct meaningful errors and update affected examples.
Commercial relationships
We currently do not display advertising. If we add ads, sponsored material or affiliate links in the future, we will identify relevant commercial relationships and update our policies.
